My source for succinct tactics is slacking. The ultra short version is "Keep bat tank topped off 100%, kick a turtle in his face when he's about to breathe or when you want a damage buff and have some extra shells."

Patch 5.2 goes Live tomorrow!
There is a new raid there, the Throne of Thunder. There are also new daily quests, new rare mobs, new battle pets and some other stuff to go hunt down. Like a triceratops. I'm gonna get me one of those!

We have somewhere between two hours and two weeks left before patch 5.2 and I think we would benefit from a short conversation about our goals in the next few weeks and once 5.2 drops. Skarn has done a fantastic job of guiding us through tier 14. We cleared normal mode raiding about 5 hours a week (officially 6 but let's be honest here), where MANY guilds that usually clear normal modes have been unable to do that this tier.

Everyone should know by now that patch 5.2, Return of the Thunder King, is going live soon. How soon? We're not really sure, but Monday Blizzard announced that it could show up in as little as two weeks, possibly Feb 26. Then yesterday they changed the Valor announcement (so Valor is no longer reset) and implied that you could cap Valor from zero before the patch hits. That suggests three weeks or March 5.
So we don't know when, but we do know soon! Just a heads up that the patch could drop Feb 26 or any Tuesday after that.

I didn't notice it when I put the raid up. It just barely occurred to me today. Oops?
Does that change anyone's sign-up for tomorrow? If so that's cool, we don't want anyone getting in trouble. :)
We'll still plan to hold the raid and see who is able to show up, but if you have other plans, then go ahead!

Valor Points will be converted to Justice Points with a cap of 4000, so any combined valor/justice points above 4000 will be converted to gold. Current valor gear will NOT be available for justice points and the current vendors who allow you to upgrade your gear will be removed. IMO we should all aim to spend all of our valor points before the patch.
